Value

Tag Type C++ code (built in to libHForm/scan_body.cc)
Attributes var=varName Required. Indicates the variable name whose value we want to display.
urlescaped If present, print a url-escaped version of the variable's value. Strange characters are replaced by %XX where XX is the hex value of the ascii code.
entityescaped If present, print an entity-escaped version of the variable's value. You'll usually want to add this attribute when echoing a value into an HTML document so that < characters will be inserted as <.
Contained Tags None.
Related Tags Value (and many other RPM tags) allow the shortcut of omitting the "attr=" part of the first required attribute ("var=" in this case.) With Value, you can even omit the tag name. Use this only if you're very lazy, because if you use shortcuts like this, you can't verify the document against the DTD (because the shortcuts are not legal for standard SGML.) The Value tag must appear in the Body section.
Examples

Here's an illustration of the shortcuts mentioned above. The following three lines are equivalent:
 {Value var="myVar"}
 {Value myVar}
 {myVar}
